sql - Principal server status when it comes back after failure (Mirroring) -

i have 2 servers set in mirroring without witness - transaction safety off databases , safety full on critical. know failover scenarios when principal or mirror server fails , needs done bring db's online never tested 1 specific scenario:

  • the principal server has crash, unexpected shutdown, or reboot.
  • no dba on duty manage failover
  • the mirror server take disconnected principal , set status "disconnected" each mirrored db's.
  • the principal server restarted after while (2-3 minutes interval bigger mirroring timeout)

the questions is: after restart of principal - gets normal , former principal , mirror take past places? mirroring on principal suspended , must resumed?

i think need manually fail on principal, can going right clicking on database -> task -> mirror , click failover

aspxgridview - Devexpress grid - header filter does not work if column is initially hidden -

i'm using devexpress grid , i'm trying 'country' column display header filter properly: <dx:gridviewdatacolumn caption="country" fieldname="countryname" showincustomizationform="true" visible="false"> <settings allowheaderfilter="true"/> </dx:gridviewdatacolumn> if 'country' column set visible='true', header filter displayed should(it shows value option list). however, want 'country' column hidden, available in customization window(like in code above). in case, when column dragged outside customization window , grid , header filter clicked, javascript error encountered: element null element.addeventlistener(eventname, func, true); is known bug? there workarounds? set aspxgridview.settings.showheaderfilterbutton property true resolve problem. the following markup works fine me (i using dxperience 10.1.7): <asp:accessdatasource id="accessda
